Summer Destinations in India



Summers are back again in India. The sweltering heat of the sun drains out all the energy from the body. It becomes impossible to stay outside for more than an hour. You have to think twice before planning a summer holiday or a honeymoon at this time in any part of India. You need to plan your holidays around such places where the temperature remains moderate and does not take a toll on your body.
While some people plan holidays in abroad where the temperature is moderate and cold, but it becomes difficult for a middle class Indian family to afford a foreign trip. There are some places in India where the temperature not only remains low throughout the year, but you can also find snow every time.
Here is the list of places in India where you can plan your holidays this summer

Manali
Named after the Manu God, Manali is also known as the abode of heaven after Kashmir. The ice capped mountains and the greenery of the place makes it an ideal spot for couples as well as for families planning to go on a vacation. Some of the hottest tourist spots at this place are Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, Hadimba Temple, Naggar Castle, Himalayan Park and Bhrigu Lake. October to February is the perfect time to visit Manali. Reaching Manali is not difficult as you can reach there from any part of India either through train or by air.
Tawang
If you are someone staying in North East India, then Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh is the ultimate place where you can get respite from summers. Admist the snow covered surroundings you can go for a spiritual visit here at the Tawang Monastery, the  second largest monastery in Asia. Do not give a miss to the Pankang Teng Tso lake which freezes in winters and is surrounded by some wonderful flora and natural surroundings. Except June, you can visit Tawang at any time of the year.
Auli
Not many people in India  know about this beautiful place in Uttarakhand called Auli. If you love snow sports, then Auli is waiting for you. Here, you can get a plenty of opportunities to enjoy skiing. The Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam is a ski resort which owned by the government. Chattrakund, a tiny lake with crystal clear waters is bound to mesmerize you.
Sikkim
The recent Bollywood flick Yariyaan has been shot here. Just as you saw the place in the movie, the exquisite locales and the monasteries will charm you as you visit here. A slew of tourist attractions awaits here for you. You can visit the Nathula Pass and watch the India- China Border.  Pelling, on the other hand can help you to get the closest view of the Mt. Kanchendzonga, the third highest peak of the world. If you love flowers you can then visit the Jawaharlal Nehru botanical Gardens.


Bharmaur and Kugti
These places are located in Himachal Pradesh. If you want to avoid the crowd at Manali and want to spend some time with your loved ones, then Bharmaur and Kugti is highly recommended. While the former is famous for its    temples, the latter is famous for its wildlife. You can reach Bharmour by plane once you reach Dharamshala as the place is only 190 kms away or else you can also board a train from Pathankpot Cantt Railway Station.
